CONCERNING THE SALECCIA ROAD:
The road leading to Saleccia beach does not belong to the campsite. It is a communal road.
Please note that the historic entrance of the road (still appearing on some GPS) no longer leads to Saleccia. The new access is 800m further (GPS point here).
From now on, major works are carried out there every year in order to allow most vehicles to be able to circulate on it.
At present we see city vehicles making the trip without complications. However, it all depends on the driver’s behavior and the height under the vehicle’s chassis because, depending on the weather, there may be water holes (rare in summer).
In any case, we do not have the possibility of knowing the evolution of his condition every day, and the opinions of different people can be very divergent. We therefore invite you to form your own opinion on the first kilometer which is very representative of the general condition.
We strongly advise against the crossing for motorhomes over 7m and higher than 3m.
Finally you have the possibility of taking a 4×4 shuttle or the boat shuttle (info on the website of the tourist office of St Florent).
We wish you a nice crossing in the Agriate desert.
This year the municipality specified the authorization for vehicle circulation on the basis of the following criteria:
– ground clearance greater than 17cm
– maximum length of 7m
– maximum height of 3m
– no towed element (trailer, caravan, etc.)
— 3.5t maximum authorized total weight when loaded
– a motorcycle suitable for off-road use
All vehicles not meeting one or more of these criteria risk being refused access to the road. If necessary, we ask you to specify that you have a reservation at the campsite, and if necessary to call us to justify your visit.
The cost of passage is €5 for motorcycles and €10 for 4-wheel vehicles. This amount is used by the municipality to maintain the road in good condition each year.
These regulations are applied at the entrance to the road, from the end of June to mid-September, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Outside of these times you can enter the road without being checked.

A mere 90 minutes from Bastia, close to Saint-Florent, on the edge of the Agriate desert, is a beach known as the most beautiful and wild in Corsica, ranked among the nicest in Europe. The only way to get there is by boat or by vehicle through a rocky path in the desert. That very path is the natural boundary that prevents this jewel from becoming an over-crowded tourist destination in the summer.

Concretely, what does this change ?
– Improved management of the energy produced by the generator with the use of LEDs for all lighting fixtures, as well as the installation of electrical sub-meters for more efficient consumption.
-A project is underway to build a solar farm that will generate almost all of our energy needs.
Improved waste management (with 5 different bins and composters).
– Much less plastic and the end of portion sizes.
– The quality of products sold at the grocery store and used in restaurants is constantly improving, with more and more organic and vegan dishes.
– The use of ecological products (soap, shampoo, cleaning products).
– The use of outdoor parking for all uninhabited vehicles (cars, motorcycles, etc.) to free up more living space and offer us a more pleasant visual environment.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE PITCHES
We now manage reservations for the pitches. In addition, for your comfort and safety, vehicles without beds will be parked in the outdoor car park free of charge.
A vegetable garden and a chicken coop
Since the end of the 2019 season we have been moving towards a short circuit consumption system, with our vegetable garden and our henhouse!
Visits and practical workshops will be organized for the most interested among you.

– In the evening on the outdoor terrace we will offer you a vegetarian alternative to our classic themed menus (giant Paella, Barbecue evening, Corsican menu, etc.)
